a qualitative serological assay for detection of Dasheen mosaic virus (DsMV) in cultivated species of the family Araceae. Severe symptoms can result from DsMV infection in some plants. Mosaic and leaf distortion are common symptoms in crops such as Dieffenbachia. Dasheen mosaic virus infection can also result in yield losses of up to 60 percent in such crops.
