Description:
Caveolae are specialized plasma membraneassociated
organelles that participate in
numerous cellular functions including
endocytosis, photocytosis, tanscytosis, signal
transduction and cholesterol trafficking. The
major proteins that form caveolae are the
caveolins of which there are three major
isoforms. Caveolin-2 has been shown to
positively regulate caveolin-1-dependent
caveolae biogenesis and that this phenomenon
is contingent on the phosphorylation of caveolin-
2 on serine 23 and 36.

Rabbits were immunized with a synthetic
peptide based on amino acid residues 18-31 of
caveolin-2 phosphorylated on ser-23.
Format:
50 μg of phosphopeptide-purified IgG (0.5 mg/ml)
with 50% glycerol, 0.01% thimerosal and 1.0
mg/ml BSA.
Storage and Stability:
Store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze/thaws.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Western blot: Use 0.1 – 0.5 μg/ml
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
