Background: ??BAG family molecular chaperone regulator 1 is a protein that is encoded by the BAG1 gene. It binds to oncogene BCL2, by which enhances the anti-apoptotic effects of BCL2 and represents a link between growth factor receptors and anti-apoptotic mechanisms. BAG gene has been implicated in age related neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer's. It has been demonstrated that BAG1 and BAG3 regulate the proteasomal and lysosomal protein elimination pathways, respectively.

Western blot analysis of recombinant Bag1 protein. Purified full length His-tagged Bag1 protein was blotted with anti-Bag1 mouse monoclonal antibody (Cat. #26135).
Immunohistochemistry: ??
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human cervical cancer tissue with anti-Bag1 monoclonal antibody (Cat. #26135). Tissue samples were fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 1% serum for 15 min at 37 °C. Antigen retrieval was by heat mediation in citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were then incubated with primary antibody (1:50 dilution) overnight at 4°C. A HRP-conjugated Goat anti-mouse IgG (1:50 dilution) was used as secondary antibody.
