Ubiquinone biosynthesis protein COQ7 homolog, also known as Coenzyme Q biosynthesis protein 7 homolog, Timing protein clk-1 homolog, CAT5 and COQ7, is a mitochondrion inner membrane and peripheral membrane protein which belongs to the COQ7 family. It is expressed dominantly in heart and skeletal muscle. COQ7 is synthesized as a preprotein that is imported into the mitochondrial matrix, where the sequence is cleaved off and the mature protein becomes loosely associated with the inner membrane. COQ7 is involved in lifespan determination in ubiquinone-independent manner and also involved in ubiquinone biosynthesis. COQ7 is potential central metabolic regulator. Human COQ7 protein contains 179 amino acids, is mostly helical, and contains an alpha-helical membrane insertion. It has been shown that mutations in the gene are associated with increased life span. Defects of the gene slow down a variety of developmental and physiological processes, including the cell cycle, embryogenesis, post-embryonic growth, rhythmic behaviors and aging.

            Novoprotein Recombinant Human COQ7 produced by mammalian cells expression system.Target protein is expressed with sequence (Ser37-Leu217) of Human coq7 (Uniprot #Q99807) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

·Formulation

            ? Novoprotein Recombinant Human COQ7 was lyophilized at 1mg/ml in 20mM PBS.
            
·Reconstitution

            We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution of Novoprotein Recombinant Human COQ7 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to working solutions.
            
·Storage 

            Lyophilized Recombinant Human COQ7 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant Human COQ7 should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use.
