Specificity:
This antibody shows positive staining on luminal
cells of normal human mammary epithelium. No
staining to weak staining is observed within the
basal cell compartment of the mammary
epithelium. Positive staining is observed on the
following cell lines: MCF-7, CAMA, T47D, BT10,
BT20, Colo 205 and WIDR. Staining is negative
on human bone marrow cells, blood cells,
lymphoid and mesenchymal tissues, and
mammary and marrow fibroblast cultures.
Species Reactivity:
Human, others not tested.
Ig Isotype:
Mouse IgG1
Immunogen:
The 5E11 clone was generated immunizing a
BALB/c mouse with T47D human mammary
carcinoma cells. Splenocytes were fused with
SP2/0 myeloma cells.
Format:
100 μg of antibody in phosphate buffered saline.
Storage and Stability:
Store at +4°C. Do not freeze.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:
Flow Cytometry: Recommend per 106 cells in
100 μl of 1-3 μg/ml antibody
Immunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections: use
at 1-3 μg/ml; Heat-induced antigen retrieval
protocol is required for optimal staining of
formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
