		Preparation :
Produced in mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human TGFbeta1 as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1K antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein G affinity chromatography.

A sterile filtered antibody solution was lyophilized from PBS.



		Stability :
The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20oC. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least six weeks at 2-8oC or for at least six months at -20oC. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.


Reconstitution:
Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml.

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100μl/well), a concentration of 4.0-8.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/ml of recombinant human TGFβ1 when used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents.



		Western Blot?
To detect hTGFβ1 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hTGFβ1 is 2.0-4.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.



In a dot blot, a 1:500 dilution of this antibody exhibited complete cross reactivity with human TGFβ2 and TGFβ3 isotypes. Reduced cross reactivity was shown at a 1:1000 dilution.
