BMP and activin membrane-bound inhibitor homolog, also known as Non-metastatic gene A protein, Putative transmembrane protein NMA, BAMBI, NMA, is a Single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the BAMBI family. BAMBI is highly expression in kidney medulla, placenta and spleen. BAMBI is induced by BMP signaling through the evolutionary conserved BMP-responsive elements in its promoter. BAMBI plays important roles in signal transduction in many developmental and pathological processes. BAMBI transcription is activated by Wnt/beta-catenin signaling then its expression is aberrantly elevated in most colorectal carcinomas. BAMBI stably associates with TGF-beta-family receptors and inhibits BMP and activin as well as TGF-beta signalling. BAMBI negatively regulates TGF-beta-family signalling by a regulatory mechanism involving the interaction of signalling receptors with a pseudoreceptor.

            Novoprotein Recombinant Human BAMBI/NMA produced by mammalian cells expression system.Target protein is expressed with sequence (Val21-Ala152) of Human bambi (Uniprot #Q13145) fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

·Formulation

            ? Novoprotein Recombinant Human BAMBI was lyophilized at 1mg/ml in 20mM PBS.
            
·Reconstitution

            We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution of Novoprotein Recombinant Human BAMBI in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100μg/ml, which can then be further diluted to working solutions.
            
·Storage 

            Lyophilized Recombinant Human BAMBI although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Recombinant Human BAMBI should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable up to 3 months below -18°C for future use.
