Specificity:
The antibody reacts specifically with
macrophages, monophages, and histiocytic cells
in normal and diseased tissue. Dendritic cells
(interdigitating cells, Langerhans'' cells, and
microglia), myeloid, lymphoid, and epithelial
cells not stained with 3A5
Species Reactivity:
Human, other species not tested.

Mouse IgG2b
Immunogen:
Fragments of human spleen depleted of
lymphocytes and erythrocytes.
Hybridoma:
Lymph node cells from an immunized BALB/c
mouse fused with SP2/0 mouse myeloma cells.
Format:
1 ml (>200 tests) of serum free culture
supernatant with 1 BSA and 0.1 sodium
azide; 0.22 micron filtered. Antibody
concentration 50 ug/ml.
Storage and Stability:
Store at 4°C short term, -20°C (or below) long
term. Aliquot to avoid cycles of freeze/thaw.
Applications and Suggested Dilutions:

Indirect immunofluorescence:

Immunohistochemistry: Use at 1:20. Useful for
frozen sections, air dried or acetone fixed
cells, and paraffin embedded tissues. To
improve staining results, formalin fixed
sections can be preincubated with a citrate
buffer (10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6, for 5
minutes at 720 Watt in a microwave oven).
Tissues fixed in sensofix and sublimate buffer
formalin need no pretreatment.
The optimal dilution for a specific application
should be determined by the researcher.
